Leadership Team

The ministry of the Partnership is made possible by through the efforts of leaders who receive a stipend and volunteers who work along side synod staff.

Peggy Contos Hahn - Assistant to the Bishop (part-time)

Peggy Contos Hahn serves as Assistant to the Bishop of the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod. She is Executive Director of Camp Hope Ministries and the developer of The Discipleship Project and has worked closely with congregations in El Salvador for the last ten years. Peggy also serves as adjunct staff for the Youth & Family Institute as a ministry coach.

Peggy is passionate about faith formation with people of all ages, dedicated to outreach among Latino families and committed to leadership development through discipleship.

Peggy and Dewayne are the parents of five young adults, Justin, Kristen, Patrick, Jeff and Matt, as well as Lucy and Shiner (two dogs!)


Sally Ahrens - Partnership Secretary (part-time)

Sally serves as a secretary to the Partnership for Youth & Family Ministry in the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod, where she has worked with Peggy Contos Hahn since 1999. She also brings experience from other roles on synod staff and from 3 years as a church office secretary.

Sally is quite happy to remain behind the scenes, providing support wherever needed, and in doing so, has been privileged to be a part of the dynamic web of youth ministry leadership in our synod.
